• feelings of a broken heart –

A thousand times I’ve tried to say
I never wanted it to end this way.
In the begininng it was sweet
now hurt has taken over
The image now is of a million pieces apart
Isn’t together like it was at the start.
But now I finaly see
you are not the one who you used to be
I’m tired of the hurt and pain.
I feel I’m lonely. Left alone.

Her mind wanders

12 AM.

Her mind wanders.

She tends to think about the one thing

That had happened five years ago

Or something that had happened two hours ago

Or something that can happen in ten years from now.

Her mind is a hurricane, it’s a wreck.

It’s full of beautiful things yet awful thoughts.

It’s 1 AM. And her mind continues to wander.

Distance

Distance can make you feel so many things.

It can swirl your world upside down with longing. It can make you pull your hair out with exasperation. It can make you fall in love with the person sitting on the other side of the world by just recalling what they smell like, and yet hate them for looking at the same sky but just not with you. It can make you personify hope. It can make you hug a piece of cloth that they’d once own like it is a real person. It can make you think that they’d come hug from behind while you’re in a supermarket, or for them to show up on your door when you expect it least. It can make you trace footsteps. It can make you cry looking at those two people sitting on the bench sharing the same umbrella. It can make you sing songs that you once hated. It can make you stab your self esteem in the eye and text/call them over and over and over. It can make you question your worth. It can make you do things you’d never thought you’d do. It can kill you inside and yet make you feel alive, more than just ever.

Distance really can make you feel so many things. 🌺

Just a little space

A little space we need.

We have stomachs to feed.

May be just a corner shy.

Our luck we can try.

Space is something we can share.

It will tell others that we really care.

At the stairs, pedestal, a corner remote.

Few ordinary things to sit and promote.

In nations like us there are many,

Who need little space on days rainy.

Little space where they can do little trade;

Ensure hungry stomach pieces of bread.

Why deny them? Denying is sin.

For many of us water is scarce and blood runs thin.

Share a little space; be a little kind.

Sharing space is something that even God won’t mind.

You can say that space costs you dear.

You have to guard against encroachment’s fear.

But then how much space does one require?

And how much does one deserve to acquire?

The common man or woman needs a little space.

Let him or her be a participant in life’s race.

And it is not a competition, but survival pure.

And a little space would make things easier for sure.

The crowd

Day in and day out we all walk along the same street

Hauling and crawling with our robotic feet

With exorbitant watches on our mighty wrist

Abandoning the time somewhere in the midst

All the wants and demands are in our hands, the world lies in the phone

What do we see around? All are each other’s clone

In this darkness I hear a wail, may be from the inside

It says, “Its never too late to walk towards the light

I walk past everyone breaking the line

And leaving the crowd behind!!

Reflection

We run ahead of the time leaving moments behind

We wait for too long, until those memories are gone

By the time we understand the enigma of life its already mid past dawn

We go back to our quests as the journey demands to be accomplished until peacefully it can rest

But what is this chaos? the madness to have it all?

The wants hunger out and peace within starves

We live in palaces yet stay empty in our hearts

The past will indeed have its glory, all the name and fame inside the books will rot and rust

You and I will cease to be for one day mingle with the mighty dust.

Lets not be the reason for another hunger death, indirectly or directly.

First I would like to take this moment to offer the condolences to Madhu’s mom.

Madhu is a poor tribe, a kerela adivaasi. His face and his body says how hungry he was. And being hungry was his sin, he dint stole money, jewels, and not even robbed banks intellectually, and that’s his sin too. All he did was theft some food which doesn’t even cost 200 bucks.

And what we did, we are humans, we have so much so called humanity left, so we beaten him up and send him to heavens.

We dint had place on this planet for that poor soul. I guess we should not be called as humans anymore. We should get another name probably.

What a Shame!

Whatta crual world!

Please atleast from now, if you see a needy help them out instead of ignoring or beating.

It will cost just a few bucks to feed a person. Can’t we do that.

Aren’t we educated enough to know how many people dying in hunger in this country.

Put yourself in such situation and imagine, how it would be, to be homeless and to be hungry or thirsty. How it feels? Terrible right?

I hope you all have your home to live and food to have every day and we are very happy humans with our lives. Aren’t we? But as coin got two sides, there are another type of humans who aren’t happy at all. They don’t have food to eat and shelter to live and clothes to wear. But they don’t need your sympathy but your empathy.

What is the difference between empathy and sympathy? Sympathy is “I pity and feel sorry for you” , empathy is I’ve been there, and I can relate to what you’re going through, and I’m here for you “. Do you see the greatest importance of empathy? I’m sure we have all been through at some point felt so thirsty, hungry in our lives. And we know how it feels like to being hungry and thirsty. But it’s the difference scenario comparing to the homeless people. Because we knew that we have our homes and we will reach it anyway and we’ll be safe and we can have food and water. But what about these unfortunates?? We are all this roller coaster called life, with it upside downs. When you’re on up share and give what you can. And when you’re down trust that the love you put out will definitely come back to you. Because there is a little in this life as joyous as sharing. Sharing in happiness. Sharing in food. Sharing in love and affection. Sharing brings of our best charecter and it’s an open act of kindness.

Please take it as a call. And share a meal. If you can’t do it daily, do it at least once in a week or once in a month. You will definitely feel much better when you see the happy faces which is just because of you.

Let’s feed with empathy,

Let’s not be the reason for an other hunger death directly or indirectly.
